How to Secure Your Pi Wallet Passphrase
Unfortunately, there is no way to recover your Pi wallet passphrase if you have lost it. The Pi wallet is a non-custodial wallet, which means that the Pi Network team does not have access to your passphrase or your Pi. If you lose your passphrase, you will lose access to your Pi wallet and all of the Pi that is stored in it.
There are a few things you can do to try to prevent losing your Pi wallet passphrase:
Write it down in a secure place. This could be in a password manager, a locked safe, or even just in a notebook that you keep hidden.
Make multiple copies of your passphrase. Keep one copy in your home, one copy at work, and one copy in a safe deposit box.
Share your passphrase with a trusted friend or family member. This way, if you forget your passphrase, you can ask them for help.
If you do lose your Pi wallet passphrase, the only thing you can do is create a new wallet. When you create a new wallet, you will be given a new passphrase. Make sure to write down your new passphrase in a secure place and keep multiple copies of it.
Here are the steps on how to create a new Pi wallet:
Download the Pi Browser app.
Open the Pi Browser app and tap on the "Wallet" button.
Tap on the "Create New Wallet" button.
Enter a username and password for your new wallet.
Tap on the "Create Wallet" button.
Write down your new passphrase in a secure place and keep multiple copies of it.
Once you have created a new Pi wallet, you can transfer your Pi from your old wallet to your new wallet. To do this, you will need to know the recovery phrase for your old wallet.
Here are the steps on how to transfer Pi from one wallet to another:
Open the Pi Browser app and tap on the "Wallet" button.
Tap on the "Recover Wallet" button.
Enter the recovery phrase for your old wallet.
Tap on the "Recover Wallet" button.
Select the new wallet that you want to transfer your Pi to.
